A couple of weekends has seen the addition of another contingent for the Electoral Army; Markgraf Reinhard Wulf Elector of Cotlas and his forces.
Although it's difficult to tell, each of the three infantry has a different shade of pink facings.
The lack of activity on the blog recently is due to a lack of activity at weekends generally..... Aside from the VWC, I have been unable to ...
Very impressive work for two weeks. I like the pink. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan. It's a surprisingly common colour in the Prussian army. The pinks are all Vallejo, the darkest being "Magenta" .

Nice work on the miniatures. Pink is a color that looks better than I think it will. I should use it more often. 😀
ReplyDeleteI have a plan for an army dressed in salmon pink coats....
ReplyDeleteIt will be the (small) army of Dupanen. It evolved from being a bit vague on what to do with it, but crystallised when an online acquaintance, Otto Schmidt (of Society of Daisy fame or infamy) passed away. Otto was a man of forceful opinions, but a staunch believer in Imagi-Nations. One of his was the army of Princess Trixie; Maria Theresa re-imagined as a teenage Valley Girl with an army dressed in pink.....
I resisted, but when Dupanen were randomly allocated the unicorn as their heraldic symbol, it sort of made sense to dress them in pink....
I shall rationalise it in the back story as due to being sold a sub-standard red Hrvatskan dye which ran and faded upon exposure to the rain.....the army vowed to dye their coats in their enemies blood...
